Doosan Infracore provides construction equipment operator/mechanic license training to youth who are about to be discharged from a variety of child welfare facilities to enable them to quickly stand on their own two feet. Full courses are offered to them free of charge to help them obtain operator’s and technical licenses for heavy equipment including excavators and forklifts. In addition, the company presents congratulatory money and a training allowance to all students who complete the courses as a token of the company's appreciation for their efforts to achieve self-reliance.
'Junior Engineering Class' is the name of a volunteer group devoted to talent donation for the young. The members are all science/engineering majors who are currently undertaking R&D activities in the company. They help young students to glean insights into some very basic scientific principles easily through science kit assembly processes. Launched in 2008, the volunteer program focuses on children in community child care centers and hospitalized children suffering from tumors.
Doosan Infracore donates prototypes of heavy equipment (excavators) and engines created in the product development stage to various educational facilities for the purpose of contributing to the country's efforts to foster and cultivate engineering talents.
