Doosan Infracore Helds 3rd CSR Committee Meeting

Doosan Infracore held the 3rd CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Meeting on July 28 in 2015 on the 25th floor of Doosan Tower, with the attendance of Sohn Dong-youn, President and CEO of Doosan Infracore and chairman of its CSR Committee, the heads of its Business Groups and divisions, and executives in charge of its Finance, HR, and IDS Departments. The meeting was held to check Doosan Infracore’s progress in its six major CSR tasks slated for this year under the five Sub-committees for Rights/Labor Practices, Environment, Fair and Transparent Business Operation, Customer Values, and Local Communities. The participants also shared their action plans for the rest of the year, and engaged in in-depth discussions about the overall companywide performance in CSR as well.

Five Doosan Companies Publish 2014 Integrated Reports

Five Doosan companies, including Doosan Corporation, Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction Co., Ltd., Doosan Infracore, Doosan Engineering & Construction, and Doosan Engine, published their annual CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) reports in 2015, thus disclosing their progress in CSR, one of the core values advocated by the “Doosan Way,” and their earnest efforts to maintain their competitiveness for the next 100 years.

Doosan Infracore Helds 'Seminar on Benchmarking of Toyota Parts Supplier' for Its Suppliers

On May 8 in 2015, Doosan Infracore held a 'Seminar on Benchmarking a Toyota Parts Supplier' at the Harbor Park Hotel in Incheon with the participation of 260 people, including staff and executives of its Operations Division, suppliers of the Engine BG, and other related staff of Doosan Infracore. Held under the theme of 'Fostering Strong Suppliers,' the seminar featured a special lecture by Uemura Satoru, chairman of MIFUNE Corporation, a second-tier supplier for Toyota, who introduced his company's approaches and achievements in conducting zero-waste ground operations, establishing a completely self-autonomous plant, and securing global competitiveness in product quality and costs. Founded in 1978, MIFUNE specializes in the high-precision manufacturing of various metal parts through press cutting.

Doosan Infracore Holds "Suppliers Day 2015'

On March 12 in 2015, Doosan Infracore held the 'Suppliers Day 2015' at Songdo Conventia in Incheon in order to share its visions and business strategies with them and acknowledge its suppliers’ particularly outstanding performance competences. With the attendance of more than 200 people from its suppliers, the event served as an invaluable opportunity to address compelling issues, including the direction the suppliers should pursue throughout the rest of the year. Kicking off with a keynote speech by CEO Sohn Dong-youn, Suppliers Day 2015 continued with a strategy sharing session, flowed by a Doosan Way introductory session and a shared growth conference.

Doosan Infracore Launches 'Construction Equipment Technical School Program' in Myanmar

From November 24-28 in 2014, Doosan Infracore's Asia Sales Team and P/S Team of the Corporate Sales Division joined forces with its CSR Team to launch the ‘Construction Equipment Technical School Program' in Yangon, the largest city in Myanmar. The program taught a total of 23 people, all of whom were recommended by the country's Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation, how to operate, maintain and repair Doosan excavators.

Doosan Infracore Wins Presidential Award for Shared Growth

Doosan Infracore was presented with the Presidential Award, the first prize, for its outstanding performance in the field of profit sharing at the 2014 Shared Growth Week Ceremony. Held on November 17 at KOEX, Samsung-dong, the ceremony was co-organized by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Small and Medium Business Administration, and was co-hosted by the Korea Commission for Corporate Partnership and the Large & Small Business Cooperation Foundation. The event not only shed light on the country's achievements in shared growth, but also addressed ways to expand the achievements further. Doosan Infracore won the Presidential Award in the category of profit sharing in recognition of its considerable achievements in the pursuit of shared growth with its suppliers.

Doosan Infracore Incheon Plant Visited by Investigation Team of Profit Sharing Cases

On October 16 in 2015, Doosan Infracore’s Incheon plant was visited by the investigation team of profit sharing cases for the Large & Small Business Cooperation Foundation, which advocates the widespread adoption of a culture of shared growth and supports the establishment of fair transactions and business relations between big and small businesses in Korea. The visit was part of the foundation's program for monitoring the performance of outstanding businesses on the ground. The investigation team toured the company's construction equipment and engine production facilities before being briefed on the company's diverse shared growth programs and the current state of the operations of its profit sharing system. In-depth discussions followed on how to further promote the company's profit sharing system.

Doosan Infracore Listed on DJSI for fifth consecutive year

On Oct. 28 in 2015, Doosan Corporation, Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction and Doosan Infracore received certifications for inclusion in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) at the International Conference and Certification Ceremony for the Dow Jones Sustainability Management Indices 2015, held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Seoul. Doosan Infracore, which has been included in the DJSI for five consecutive years, retained industry leadership in the human capital development category for the second year; and scored high in operational eco-efficiency, environmental reporting, product responsibility, labor practice and community involvement.

Bobcat Launches CSR Activities

Bobcat recently embarked upon full-fledged CSR activities by launching its CSR initiative on the occasion of the Inaugural CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Workshop held at its office in Fargo, North Dakota, USA, on July 16 in 2015. The workshop was attended by representatives from its operating sites in the state of North Dakota, including Bismarck, Gwinner and Fargo, as well as the staff of the CSR Team at the Corporate Center of Doosan Infracore.

Doosan Infracore China Wins Excellent CSR Company Award

Doosan Infracore China won an excellent company award in the category of shared growth at the Inaugural Shanghai Grand Prize for Outstanding Companies in CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility). On June 19 in 2014, Sohn Doo-suk, general manager of Doosan Infracore China, was presented with an excellent company award by Gu Sang-chan, Consul General to Shanghai, China at an awards ceremony held at the Changfeng Marriott Hotel in Shanghai. The Shanghai Grand Prize was launched this year by the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Shanghai for the purpose of promoting the CSR activities of Korean companies operating in China. The recipients of the outstanding company award were selected from each of five categories - shared growth, labor relations and human rights, the environment, customer satisfaction, and social contributions, while the recipients of the grand prize and the special award were chosen separately. The criteria for the excellence award in the category of shared growth included compliance with fair transactions, support for enhancing suppliers' competency, and the implementation of open communication. A total of eleven large businesses, including Samsung Electronics China, winner of the grand prize, and twelve small and medium-sized companies were recognized.

Doosan Infracore Publishes '2013 Integrated Report'

On June 2 in 2014, Doosan Infracore published its second Doosan Infracore Integrated Report 2013, which combines its annual report and sustainability report. The report includes both financial and non-financial information, and presents the company's value creation processes from the perspective of a value chain.
