Since manufacturing Korea’s first diesel engines, Doosan Infracore offers a wide range of diesel and CNG engines for many industrial applications around the world.


  • 1958

    Initiated the production of marine engines co-developed by AVL


  • 1975

    Completed the construction of a casting and diesel engine plant
    Started producing mid-sized engines through technical cooperation with MAN

  • 1979

    Initiated manufacturing compact engines via technical collaboration with Isuzu


  • 1983

    Started producing heavy engines via technical cooperation with MAN (V8,10 and 12)

  • 1985

    Started manufacturing ‘STORM’ series engines independently developed using in-house technologies


  • 1994

    ISO9001 certification

  • 1995

    Initiated the production of ‘DE & DV’ series engines developed independently

  • 1997

    ISO14001 certification

  • 1999

    Developed ultra-low pollution GE series engines; the company’s automotive CNG engine was chosen as one of Korea’s top 100 technologies in the 20th century.


  • 2000

    Developed Euro 2 engines

  • 2001

    Developed Tier 2 engines
    Developed GE series engines and for generators natural gas engines

  • 2004

    Released Euro 3 engines (DL08, DV11)

  • 2005

    Built facilities for mass-producing Tier 3 (DL06) engines
    received orders for next-generation tank engines
    (1500PS) and signed a contract

  • 2006

    Started selling Tier 3 (DL06) engines

  • 2007

    Developed and mass-produced Euro 4 engines (DL06 S, DL08 S, DV11 S)

  • 2008

    Diesel engine production reached one million mark in March
    Euro 4 engines were awarded the grand prize at the 1st Doosan Technological Excellence Awards in May
    Built an engine plant at DIA (Doosan Infracore America)

  • 2011

    Developed and mass-produced Euro 5 diesel and CNG engines

  • 2012

    Completed the construction of Doosan’s compact diesel engine plant
    Initiated the production of Tier 4 Final compact diesel engines
    Started the production of DP series generator engines
    Established PDC (Parts Distribution Center) in the United States

  • 2013

    Doosan’s compact diesel engines were given the Jang Young Shill Award
    Initiated the production of Euro 6 CNG engines

  • 2014

    Doosan’s compact diesel engines were chosen as one of Korea’s top 10 machines by the Korean Federation of Mechanical Engineering Societies
    Received the FLTA (Fork Lift Truck Association) Innovation Award
    Completed the construction of Global R&D Center in Incheon

  • 2015

    Incorporated into Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) Asia-Pacific (for the 5th consecutive year)
    Incheon and Gunsan Plants Receive 'Safety Zone Certificates'

  • 2016

    Supplied compact diesel engine (G2) to major agricultural machinery manufacturers in Korea
    Rolled out bus no. 1 loaded with EURO 6 Diesel Engine
